* Born on Rochford Hospital March 1940
* Raised and lived in Rutland Avenue, Southend-on-Sea until marriage.
* Attended Thorpe Greenways Primary School from 1943 - 1951
* Attended Westcliff High School for Boys from 1951 - 1958
* Taught mathematics at Southchurch Hall School from 1958 - 1959 (Unqualified teachers were allowed at that time).
* Attended Guy's Hospital Dental School from 1959 - 1963
* Married Colleen Moore in April 1964
* In same year bought a house in Green Lane, Eastwood in which we still live.
* Our three sons were born in 1966, 1968 & 1969
* Played rugby for Old Westcliffians Rugby Football Club 1958 - 1983
* Was a founder member of Leigh-on-Sea Round Table from 1965 - 1980. Chairman in 1967/8
* Joined Leigh-on-Sea Rotary Club in 1976.
 * Awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science by Open University in 1980. Specialist subjects Economics and Decision Analysis.
* Spent a lot of time earning the money to pay for three sons at university at about the same time.
* 2009 Took a course in Web Site Design at Southend Adult Community College so that I could create this website.

 A little boy goes up to his father and asks what an ancestor is. "Well" replies father, " I'm your ancestor and so is your grandad." "OK" replies the boy "So why do people boast about them?"
